Hi, my name is Reiner Gärtner, I am a media expert, journalist, coach, consultant, content creator, and AI prompter - also a certified Professional Scrum Master (PSM) and Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO).

With my family of 6, I live on Awabakal Country in Lake Macquarie, NSW.

For over 30 years, I’ve been bridging technology and human understanding, backed by deep technical expertise. From explaining CompuServe’s early internet services, the mechanics of the first web browsers, and the evolution of search engine algorithms – from AltaVista to Google’s PageRank – to now breaking down complex AI systems, I enjoy making innovation accessible and meaningful for everyone.

In these years, I have moved fluently between strategy, technical implementation, and practical application. What drives me is seeing how these technologies can genuinely improve people’s lives when thoughtfully applied.

My passion now lies in Responsible AI, specifically XAI (Explainable AI) – where technical knowledge and communication expertise converge. I help people understand AI’s decisions while ensuring organisations implement these systems thoughtfully and ethically, guiding teams through transformation with clear communication every step of the way.
