A lovely idea: digital smoke.
People who use artificial intelligence to write are like digital smokers. Smokers don’t notice they reek. But the ones who don’t smoke catch it instantly. If someone who’s been smoking comes into my house, you can smell it. Even after they’ve brushed their teeth and had a wash. They smell of smoke.
It’s the same with writing. Plenty of digital smokers just ran it through their chat model and reckon nobody will notice. But people do notice. Lots of people notice, because there are still plenty of non-smokers out there.
You can’t just tell them: look at me, here I am, isn’t this great. You reek. We can smell the smoke.
